Building on the overall Conference theme, the Forum theme is Creating a High-Performing Environment for Healthcare.

The Academy is reaching out to healthcare facilities professionals and other members of the building and healthcare industries to invite industry experts to present during the one-day AHI Forum. Industry leaders with valuable insights, case studies, best practices, lessons learned and/or remaining challenges are encouraged to share their knowledge and experiences with the broader audience of healthcare facility industry stakeholders.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Academy’s Executive Committee, which includes: Frank Aucremanne, Cleveland Clinic; John Becker, U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency; Stella Fiotes, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Walter Jones, MetroHealth; Jeff Land, Dignity; Bob McCoole, Ascension; Bob Mitsch, Sutter Health; Spencer Moore, MD Anderson; Don Orndoff, Kaiser Permanente; Judy Quasney, National Institutes of Health; Sid Sanders, Methodist Houston; and Skip Smith, Catholic Health Initiatives.

In addition, abstracts that touch on challenges affecting both healthcare facilities and the broader building industry, such as the use of building-related information resources and technologies; incorporation of off-site construction methods; improvements in facility performance and sustainability; and solutions that address security and disaster preparedness are potential topics for consideration.

Presentations should be 30 minutes in length with an additional 10 minutes for Q&A. Promotional presentations on products or services will not be considered.

Presenters are invited to submit a 200-word abstract during this final call for speakers. Abstracts are due no later than 11:59 pm, Thursday, June 30, 2016, and should be submitted along with a 150-word biography.
